Samyang – Schneider AF 14-24mm F2.8 Overview

The Samyang AF 14-24mm F2.8 FE is a compact and lightweight super-wide-angle zoom lens designed for Sony full-frame E-mount cameras. With a versatile 14-24mm focal range and constant f/2.8 aperture, it is ideal for landscapes, architecture, interiors, nightscapes, astrophotography, and environmental portraits.

Weighing just 445g and measuring 88.8mm in length, the lens is designed for easy carrying and comfortable use during travel and outdoor shooting. It also supports 77mm front filters, offering greater flexibility for using ND and polarizing filters.

Its advanced optical design uses 15 elements in 11 groups, including three aspherical elements, delivering high resolution and helping reduce coma and other aberrations. At f/2.8, it is well suited for capturing detailed night scenes and astrophotography.

The lens offers a 0.18m minimum focusing distance throughout the zoom range and up to 0.26x magnification, allowing dramatic close-up shots with an ultra-wide perspective.

A SAMYANG Linear Stepping Motor provides fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus, while the AF/MF switch and customizable button offer convenient control. A built-in USB port enables firmware updates, and weather sealing helps protect against dust, light rain, snow, and water droplets.
